Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do You Offer Tours of Your Campuses?
We absolutely do! Please use our tour request form linked here. A message will be sent to the campus and they will reach out to schedule a tour.
Q: When do current families register for the next school year?
WE have a NEW PROCESS for 2026! If you are a current family with Texas Leadership with a student in Kindergarten through 11th grade, the window to register for the next school year will open March 2, 2026. Families will receive an email for registration. We ask that the process is complete by March 27, 2026.
Q: When Is Open Enrollment for NEW families - 2026-2027 School Year?
Applications for new students for the 2026-2027 School Year begin on April 6th and end on April 17th. If you apply after seats have been filled, don't worry—your student will be added to our waitlist, and we will reach out as soon as a spot becomes available.
Q: Do I still need to complete both an "Intent to Return" and "Registration"?
No! This year, we listened to parent feedback and combined the previous two-step process into a single, streamlined Single Registration requirement. Please note that certain annual forms—such as Meal Applications and Socioeconomic Surveys—will still be sent out separately at the beginning of the school year. You will receive a notification as soon as those specific forms are available for completion.
Q: How Many Spots Do You Typically Have?
This number varies from year to year. Availability is determined once our current families have confirmed their enrollment for the next school year. Because we are experiencing consistent growth, we encourage families to apply early!
Q: Can We Transfer To Texas Leadership During the School Year?
Yes – but, that depends on space availability. We may have a waiting list in your student’s grade level. You will need to fill out an online application and the Registrar will communicate with you on the status of your application. Making the move during the school year can ensure a spot for your student next year.
Q: What Do I Need to Bring With Me to Put In an Application?
Nothing! The good news is that our entire application process is solely online.
Q: What do I need to apply?
Before we can complete the registration process, we will need the following:
- Official Birth Certificate, or other official document that establishes student identity, such as passport or other legal document
- Social Security Card, if student has one
- Immunization Records
- Proof of Residence
- Parent/Guardian Photo ID
- Transcript for Grades 8-12, or Grade Report for Grades K-7
- Court Order, if any pertaining to student
Q: Can a Student be Denied Admission?
Based on our Charter, Texas Leadership may exclude students with a documented history of a criminal offense, juvenile court adjudication or discipline problem.
Q: How Does The Lottery and Waiting List Process Work?
Faculty and staff member children will have priority placement for openings.
Siblings of current Texas Leadership students are next in priority placement.
If there is more than one sibling needing a spot in a grade, a drawing will be held.
Texas Leadership utilizes a fair, transparent software system that complies with data privacy regulations. This software takes the balance of student names and fills the open positions with completed new student applications. Any remaining student names are put into our wait list.
When an opening occurs in that grade level, the parent of the applicant who is next on the waiting list is notified. You will be contacted immediately via email or by phone and must begin the enrollment process and complete it in a timely manner, or your spot may be forfeited.
Q: What happens if not all of my children are accepted at once?
While we work hard to accommodate every family, seat availability varies by grade level. If a sibling is placed on a waitlist, they will receive sibling priority status, moving them to the top of the list for the next available opening in their grade.
