UIL Homeschool Participation

Texas Leadership Public Schools is excited to announce that homeschooled students can participate in UIL Academics & Athletics as members of the district’s teams!
How It Works
IMPORTANT: Texas Leadership Public Schools is no longer accepting partcipants through this program for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year. Any family who is interested in this program for the 2026-27 school year should still complete the Homeschool Interest Participation form but it will not be until late May or early June before someone from the school contacts you.
Texas House Bill 547 and Senate Bill 401 allow school districts to extend UIL participation to home schooled students. Texas Leadership has opted in, creating an opportunity for homeschool families to engage in our academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs.
Please read the information on this page. Once you have done so, if you are interested in participating in our UIL Homeschool Participation Program, the first step is to complete the interest form using the link immediately below. This will make the district aware of your interest and allow us to begin the process of determining your eligibility.
Once you complete the interest form, someone from the district or campus will contact you within a few days.
